Mental Health
The Consultation and Liaison team provides consultation to patients with psychiatric symptoms on the medical, pediatric and surgical units of BMC.
They are available on a regular basis to conduct psychiatric evaluations and to offer treatment recommendations. Clinic also provides outpatient treatment for a full range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic issues, bipolar, psychosis and more. The clinic provides individual therapy, group therapy and medication management.
Living with daily pain is physically and emotionally stressful. Chronic stress is known to change the levels of stress hormones and neurochemicals found within your brain and nervous system; these can affect your mood, thinking and behavior.
