Spiritual Care

The spiritual care department works collaboratively to help patients, family members, and staff to address emotional, spiritual, and religious needs. We serve as Liaisons, connecting members of the healthcare team, patients and families, and if requested clergy or other religious leaders in the community.

Our multi-faith team provides inclusive spiritual care and can explore how your own sense of faith and spirituality may be a healing, comforting resource to you. We try to address your unique spiritual journey and support your needs when an ordinary sense of meaning and hope has been disrupted by illness, sudden hospitalization, or any life changing event.

A Short Prayer of Healing

“Lord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claim those promises. I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in my life. Please reach down and surround me with supernatural peace and strength and give me the faith to believe that all things are possible for you. Protect me from discouragement and let my miraculous healing begin. Amen.”

For Health and Healing

“Almighty God, you are the only source of health and healing. In you there is calm, and the only true peace in the universe. Grant to me now an awareness of your presence, and give me perfect confidence in you. In all pain and weariness and anxiety teach me to yield myself to your never-failing care, knowing that your love and power surrounds me, trusting in your wisdom and providence to give me health and strength and peace when your time is best; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

A Prayer to Heal from Depression

“Lord, it seems as if my world has collapsed, hurling me into a deep, dark pit. I come to you in complete surrender. I am desperate for you, helpless and afraid. Please lift me out of this pit and show me the way, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
